About Omnivore Recycling
Omnivore Recycling develops modular, automated systems that convert food residues into insect larvae used as feed and into fertilizer. The process uses black soldier fly larvae, which turn organic waste into protein and fertilizer, with the larvae sold as feed for poultry, pigs, fish and pets.
The company targets food-producing and food-retail businesses that want to use their residues locally instead of disposing of them. Testimonials on its site come from a bakery, a food producer and an EDEKA store owner. The site also offers a partner-operator model for businesses that want to join its recycling network.
Omnivore Recycling is a deep-tech spin-off of RWTH Aachen University and combines engineering, biology and software development. Its job listings include a part-time e-commerce and performance marketing role based in Aachen.
