About NTE
NTE (Nord-Trøndelag Elektrisitetsverk AS) is a Norwegian energy and telecom group that produces hydropower, wind and solar energy and supplies electricity, fibre broadband and TV. The parent company has three subsidiaries, NTE Energi, NTE Marked and NTE Telekom, and is a co-owner of the grid company Tensio.
It sells electricity contracts to private and business customers, with more than 100,000 electricity customers, along with fibre broadband and Altibox-based TV and streaming subscriptions. Its product range also includes a weather and power price forecast and a customer loyalty programme.
The company was founded in 1919 and is headquartered in Steinkjer, with an office in Trondheim. It is owned by 19 Trøndelag municipalities. It is hiring for student and part-time roles in AI, data and the power market, and for technologists, engineers, sellers and apprentices. NTE Elektro was sold to the electrical contractor JM Hansen.
