About Novatron
Novatron develops and manufactures Xsite machine control systems for earthmoving machines, including excavator guidance with a real-time 3D display. Its infrastructure software includes Xsite MANAGE for project data management with OpenBIM standards and Xsite REWISE for infrastructure modelling and calculation. It also supplies OEM components such as IMU sensors and laser receivers.
Customers include civil engineering contractors, infrastructure designers, surveyors and machine manufacturers in Finland, Sweden and abroad. Outside the Nordic countries, Novatron sells through an international network of resellers and channel partners. The company also offers OEM expert services for machine manufacturers.
The company's origins date to 1991, and it was founded in 1993. Its headquarters and technology center are in Pirkkala, Finland, with offices in Helsinki, Oulu, Kuopio and Vaasa. Its Swedish operations have their main office in Timrå, with offices in Stockholm, Skellefteå and Örebro. Novatron acquired MOBA Sweden AB in 2025 and Geolaser Oy in 2026. Its website states it employs approximately 180 people.
