About Novabiotics
NovaBiotics is a biotechnology group with two divisions. Its consumer health arm sells Tinexyl PRO, a nail health system for toenails, marketed by NovaBiotics Consumer Health Ltd. The pharma division develops cysteamine-based candidates for inflammatory, infectious and respiratory disease.
Tinexyl PRO is available only through UK podiatrists and foot health practitioners, and the consumer arm has signed a global distribution agreement with Brand Creations Limited for the product. The pharma division's candidates are at a clinical stage and it is working with the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine on cysteamine bitartrate for mycobacterial disease, including tuberculosis, with Medical Research Council grant funding.
The company was founded in 2004 and is headquartered in Aberdeen, where it is moving its consumer health and pharma divisions into ONE BioHub. It is privately held and its website states it has raised about $40 million in funding to date.
