About Norm Ai
Norm Ai builds AI agents for legal and compliance work through three units: Norm Technology, which builds AI agents encoded with domain-expert knowledge; Norm Law, an affiliated law firm described as fully AI-native for global institutional clients; and Legal AI Consulting, which redesigns legal functions around the division of work between people and AI.
The customers are institutions. The website says it is trusted by institutions managing over $35T in combined assets, and it names Vanguard, Blackstone, Bain Capital, Citi, TIAA and Coatue among its investors. The website does not describe pricing or the revenue model.
Norm Ai was founded in July 2023 by John Nay and is headquartered in New York City. It announced a $48M raise in January 2025 and a $120M Series C at a $1.2B valuation in June 2026. Its open roles are in New York City, with some in London and Washington D.C., mainly in legal (associates, legal engineering), engineering and analytics, marketing, finance and operations.
Product: Norm Technology AI agents for legal and compliance tasks, and Norm Law, an affiliated AI-native law firm serving institutional clients.
