Nordoff and Robbins is a UK charity that delivers music therapy to clients including autistic people, people living with dementia, people with learning difficulties, and people with mental health issues, grief or trauma. It also trains music therapists through a Master of Music Therapy programme validated by Goldsmiths, University of London, and funds research into music therapy.
Music therapy services are commissioned by organisations such as SEND and SEMH schools, care homes, hospices and day centres. The charity states that it receives no government funding and relies on donations, events and fundraising campaigns.
The charity was established in 1976 and traces its approach to work by Paul Nordoff and Clive Robbins from 1959. It has training bases in London, Manchester and Newcastle, and delivers services from 13 centres across the UK. In 2025 it reported 48,047 music therapy sessions, 15,540 people reached and 309 partnership organisations worked with. It employs around 140 people.
