About Nirafon

Nirafon Oy makes pneumatic acoustic cleaning systems that use sound waves to remove ash, soot and other powder deposits from boiler heat exchangers, economizers, ESP, baghouses, cyclones and ducts while the process keeps running. The systems operate on compressed air, and the company draws up a tailor-made plan for each buyer.

Customers are industrial plant operators, including waste-to-energy and incineration plants, power plants, recovery boilers and desulphurization plants. Revenue comes from system sales, project work and spare parts and maintenance, and the company sells through distributors in several countries.

The company was founded as NIRAFON Oy in 1994, and its origins go back to the mid-1980s under the name Nirak KY. It is headquartered in Lahti, Finland, where its assembly plant, product storage, spare part service and research laboratory are located, and it states that its products are manufactured in Finland.
