About NIMAX
NIMAX runs several online shops for niche markets, with its main platform Astroshop.de selling hobby astronomy products across Europe. The shops also cover microscopy, sport optics, hunting and nature observation, and include the company's own brands such as Omegon, alongside exclusive distribution brands.
Customers are hobby astronomers and outdoor and optics enthusiasts buying online, with the company also offering in-store consultation through specialist retail and showrooms. Revenue comes from online retail of its own and distributed brands.
NIMAX was founded in 2001 and is headquartered in Landsberg am Lech, Germany, with further sites in Munich, Malaga, Genk and Palermo. It has about 70 employees and says its shops are available in up to nine languages, with customers in 140 countries. Current job openings include warehouse, logistics, customer service, IT and apprenticeship roles.
