About Niihaman Ulkoilumaja

Niihaman Ulkoilumaja runs an outdoor forest café, private and public sauna sessions, fireside experiences and event spaces near the illuminated Kauppi outdoor trail in Tampere, Finland. Its café is known for seasonal treats such as Finnish Shrove buns, donuts, waffles and homemade salmon soup, and it offers catering from ready-made menus or custom selections.

Customers include locals, outdoor visitors and private groups booking workplace well-being days, birthday parties, bachelor(ette) parties, evening get-togethers and other celebrations. The business earns revenue from café sales, sauna sessions, event bookings and catering.

The site was originally a small farm built after the war by the Olkinuora family, and it has operated as a privately run café since the 1980s. Riia Jokinen took over ownership in early 2023, and the company was founded on 31 January 2023. It is based in Tampere.
