About Nexamass
Nexamass builds a supply chain for harvesting and processing biomass that has accumulated in Finnish waterways through eutrophication. It starts with reed (järviruoko) from coastal areas and wetlands and states that algae and roach (roskakala) are also possible raw materials for industry. Harvesting the biomass removes nutrients from water and turns it into a renewable raw material.
The company connects landowners, harvesting and transport contractors, processors and buyers into one chain. Its customers are the parties in that chain and the industrial buyers of the processed raw material.
Nexamass Oy is registered in Espoo, Finland, where it is headquartered, and was founded on 11 July 2024. It is looking for financiers and partners to build an industrial-scale supply chain. It has announced a cooperation with Wiurilan kartano on reed harvesting in the Viurilanlahti nature conservation area, and a launch event for its Biomassification concept is scheduled for 5 November 2026.
