About Nattugla
Nattugla makes Smart Sensor, a camera with on-device AI for digital supervision of older adults. It detects events such as falls, leaving bed, missed wake-up and too long in the bathroom, and alerts healthcare staff without the resident wearing anything. An audio unit and extra sensors are offered as add-ons. Audio and video are not stored in the cloud, and communication between the sensor and staff smartphones is end-to-end encrypted (AES256).
Its customers are municipalities and care institutions, healthcare personnel, relatives and residential communities. Distribution runs through partners, including NetNordic and Hepro in Norway and partners selling in Sweden and the UK. The sensor integrates with platforms such as Net Nordic Omsorg, Carium, Everon and UMO.
The company is registered in Tromsø, Norway, and was founded in 2025. The product was launched in 2021 together with Harstad Municipality, and the website states that more than 2000 units have been shipped. Nattugla's history traces back to Easymeeting, which the timeline says started in 1999.
