About Montinutra

Boreal Bioproducts converts forestry by-products such as spruce sawdust and bark into bio-based materials using water-based extraction and hydrothermal processing. Its products include polysaccharides, lignin extracts, fibers and tannins for applications such as coatings, adhesives, packaging, personal care and leather tanning.

The company serves industrial customers seeking alternatives to fossil-derived inputs. It has operated a pilot-scale facility in Turku since 2021 and is preparing for industrial-scale production targeted for 2028–2029.

Product: Bio-based industrial materials extracted from forestry side streams, including spruce-derived polysaccharides, lignin, fibers and tannins.
