Mohn Technology

Mohn Technology AS develops underwater technology, machine vision and artificial intelligence. Its products include the Fish Research System (FRS) underwater camera, the SalmoScan fish analysing tool, aquaculture lights and the FlowFarm semi-closed fish farming facility. The company has also developed an underwater inspection drone under a project funded by FHF.

Its customers are in aquaculture, fisheries, research and energy. It sells its own products and offers consulting and custom solutions in electrical, computer and mechanical engineering, including design and analysis. Examples of custom work include a tailor-made underground camera system for Hafslund ECO and a second FRS camera for Voss Energi Palmafossen.

Mohn Technology is based in Laksevåg, Bergen, Norway, and was founded in 1997. The company reports a 2.5 MNOK grant for developing an AI-based pink salmon sorting unit. Its FRS cameras have been installed at river and fish-farm sites in Finnmark and elsewhere in Norway.
