About Micropower

Micropower Group develops and manufactures industrial lithium-ion batteries, battery chargers, DC-DC converters and equalizers. Its Finnish subsidiary, Micropower Oy (formerly Powerfinn Oy), designs and produces standard and customised chargers and power supplies, often in small batches, and can brand products for customers' sales channels.

Customers are manufacturers of electrified equipment, including forklift trucks, automated guided vehicles, construction equipment, ground support equipment, cleaning machines, utility and rescue vehicles, and military and defence applications. The company sells its hardware products and custom power solutions to these manufacturers.

Micropower Oy was founded in 1990 and is based in Salo, Finland, where its plant is located. The group is headquartered in Växjö, Sweden, and states that it operates eight sites across the Nordics, Germany, Italy, the United States and Hong Kong. The Finnish company reports about 80 employees and the group about 600.
