About Metro Prepaid
Metro Prepaid makes and sells prepayment electric sub-meters that let UK landlords recover electricity costs from tenants. The meters are installed downstream of the main landlord meter, and tenants buy power codes (Metro Codes) that are vended through PayPoint stores, online and by other payment methods. The range also includes three-phase meters, a gas prepayment meter and an ultrasonic water meter.
Customers are landlords of residential and commercial properties, including HMOs, blocks of flats and multi-let sites. The meters are sold through electrical wholesalers across the UK. Metro Prepaid collects tenant payments and pays the landlord monthly, and it can charge an optional service fee of 9.55% of Metro Code value.
