Metalšrot Tlumačov

Metalšrot Tlumačov a.s. buys, processes and sells ferrous scrap and non-ferrous metals. It operates shredding and separation equipment for light metal waste such as end-of-life vehicles, white goods, electrical appliances and copper and aluminium cables.

The company also offers end-of-life vehicle disposal, demolition and dismantling, collection of electrical equipment and batteries, and container and low-loader transport. Its website says it handles vehicle disposal under contract for most contracted car importers and dealers in the region and across the Czech Republic, and that its capacity is about 200,000 tonnes of processed scrap and non-ferrous metals per year.

The company was founded in May 1992 as a joint-stock company during the first wave of voucher privatisation. It holds ISO 9001:2015 certification for the whole company and ISO 14001:2015 for the Tlumačov site.
