About Metabite
Metabite builds AI nutrition coaching software. Members photograph meals in a mobile app, the AI identifies ingredients and estimates nutrition, and registered dietitians or coaches review the results in a web workspace called Metabite AI Pro. Program owners manage enrollment, cohorts and outcomes reporting in Metabite AI Admin.
Customers include employers, insurers, health systems and research programs, as well as self-guided individuals. The company presents programs run with Helsinki University Hospital, the Finnish Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, and a 12-week program with Central Garden & Pet. Its NutFinForce product brings AI nutrition coaching to Finnish conscripts, with a pilot at the Armoured Brigade in Hattula.
Metabite was founded in 2008 and is headquartered in Espoo, Finland, with its team based in Helsinki. The company was selected as one of ten solutions for Finland's national digital care trial, and Sitra funds work with HUS, Metabite and the University of Helsinki on an obesity treatment pathway.
