Mercantus

Mercantus develops Timeworks, a reservation system that brings bookings of rooms, workplaces, equipment, staff and services into one platform, together with related operations management. Modules cover meeting rooms, sports facilities and recurring slots, boat berths and allotments, event registrations, guided tours and group visits, visitor management and information displays. Access is available through the browser, mobile, Outlook, screens and an e-commerce channel, and an optional AI assistant can book spaces through conversation. Integrations include Microsoft 365, accounting, payment systems and access control.

Customers include municipalities and cities, operators of office properties and workplaces, museums and visitor sites, and organisations that manage vehicles, devices and project work. The service is offered as a SaaS product produced in the EU. A long-standing reference is a shared-premises booking solution for the Finnish state, developed with Senaatti-kiinteistöt over more than a decade, with about 30,000 users in state administration.

Mercantus was founded in 2005 and is registered in Kotka, Finland. The company states that it has a domestic development, delivery and maintenance team, offers Finnish-language training and support, and designs its user interface to WCAG AA accessibility. Security is reviewed regularly by external specialists.
