About Markkula Leirikeskus
Markkula Leirikeskus runs a camp centre on the shore of Suur-Merkjärvi lake in Kannusjärvi, Finland, 15 km from Hamina. It offers overnight accommodation, meals cooked from scratch on site, and rooms and grounds for camps, meetings, celebrations and outdoor activities. A lakeside sauna is open year-round, with ice-hole swimming in the winter season.
Customers are groups such as confirmation camps, training courses and association events, as well as private guests, who can stay in the log cabin when no group is in the house. Revenue comes from overnight stays, meals and catering, sauna sessions and venue bookings.
The company was founded in 2023. The main building has 38 beds in rooms for one to four people, a dining hall, a party hall and a fireside room. The surrounding area borders the Portimo hiking trails, a network of more than 60 km.
Product: Overnight accommodation, catering, sauna and venue rental for camps, groups, meetings and private events.
