About LocalPoint
LocalPoint builds LocalPoint Fusion, software that uses machine learning to read local print advertisements and articles from newspaper PDF editions. It enriches the ads with extracted data such as dates, URLs, email addresses, phone numbers and map locations, then republishes them on digital channels including web, mobile, tablet and out-of-home TV.
Its customers are local and regional newspaper publishers, starting in Switzerland. LocalPoint charges publishers a fee for each local advertisement processed from print and redistributed to digital, and publishers can apply an automated surcharge of around 10% for the online display of advertisements.
