About Litostroj Engineering

Litostroj Engineering is a Czech company in the Litostroj hydropower group. The group designs, tests and manufactures hydropower turbines and related equipment, including Kaplan, Francis, reversible and Pelton turbines, large industrial pumps, control systems, hydromechanical equipment and balance-of-plant machinery. Modernization and lifecycle service support for existing plants are also offered.

Customers are operators of medium and large hydropower plants, including pumped-storage projects. The group describes itself as a turn-key partner for complex hydropower projects and sells turbines, equipment and service work to these plants.

The company is registered in Brno, where the group's R&D and hydraulic research centre is located. It was founded in 1996. The Litostroj brand traces its history to a 1947 merger of industrial companies, and since 2024 it has been part of the Wikov Group as its Hydro division.

Product: Hydropower turbines (Kaplan, Francis, reversible, Pelton), large industrial pumps, hydro automation and modernization services.
