Lihamaisteri processes meat supplied by customers into meat products, including sausages, preserves, minced meat and other raw meat preparations, and offers cutting and packaging. Slaughter services are offered for farms and hunters. Finished products are returned to the customer for their own use and are not sold to other consumers.

Customers include farms, dairy farms, hunting groups, hunters and households who bring their own meat for processing. The company charges for processing services according to a published price list.

Lihamaisteri Oy is based in Savonlinna, Finland, and was registered in September 2022. The business was founded in 2003 by Ahvo Räpelinen, and since autumn 2022 it has been run by his son Aapo Räpelinen. The company reports that it has invested in solar panels, which generate about 33% of its annual energy consumption, and that it has switched its space and water heating from electric heating to wood pellets.
