About LEXUM Slovakia
LEXUM runs a network of eye clinics, outpatient clinics and optics offering ophthalmology care. Services include laser eye surgery, cataract treatment, treatment of age-related macular degeneration, retinal and vitreous surgery, glaucoma treatment and eyelid surgery.
Patients are the customers. Some treatments, such as age-related macular degeneration care, are covered by health insurers, while aesthetic procedures and premium intraocular lenses are paid by the patient according to a published price list.
LEXUM Slovakia s.r.o. was founded in 2009 and is registered in Trenčín, where it has a clinic. The brand has provided eye care since 1993. The network operates 14 locations in Slovakia and the Czech Republic and includes a clinic in Rimavská Sobota. Since 2014 the business has been part of the Optegra Group, and since 2025 part of EssilorLuxottica. The company is currently hiring ophthalmologists, optometrists and nurses for its Trenčín clinic.
