About Lex Diagnostics

LEX Diagnostics develops the NULEXA System, a CLIA-waived point-of-care molecular PCR system with a fully automated swab-to-result workflow. The NULEXA Influenza + SARS Test detects Flu A, Flu B and COVID-19 in a single multiplex test and reports positive results in as little as 6 minutes. The company is now part of QuidelOrtho, which completed its acquisition of LEX in April 2026, and the VELO System was renamed NULEXA in May 2026.

The system is intended for healthcare facilities operating under a CLIA Certificate of Waiver, such as physician's offices, pharmacies and urgent care centres. The NULEXA test menu is set to expand to include StrepA, RSV and STIs.

LEX Diagnostics Ltd was founded in February 2020 as an independent company within the TTP Group and is headquartered in Pencoed, Wales. It also has a base at Melbourn Science Park near Cambridge, UK. The VELO Respiratory Test received FDA 510(k) clearance and CLIA waived status in February 2026, and the company holds ISO 13485:2016 certification for its molecular point-of-care devices. It has an open role for an Office Administrator.
