The company was founded in 2007 by Gavin Cooney and Mark Lynch, who first met at an accessibility meet-up in Sydney in 2004. Its first office opened in Sydney in 2007, and it later opened offices in Dublin and New York. In 2024 Leeds Equity Partners acquired the company.
