About Last Energy
Last Energy develops the PWR-20, a micro modular pressurized water reactor plant built in a factory with a proprietary steel containment structure. The company designs, owns and operates the plants and sells the power under a power purchase agreement, acting as a behind-the-meter independent power producer.
Its target customers are energy-intensive industries and utilities, including data centers, metals, food and beverage, pulp and paper, chemicals and cement. The customer does not need to develop, finance or operate the asset itself.
Last Energy was launched in 2019 by the Energy Impact Center, a research institute founded in 2017. Its headquarters is in Austin, Texas, and it also lists offices in Washington, D.C. and the United Kingdom. Its open positions are mainly engineering roles (nuclear, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and controls, project management) and business roles in Austin, with one commercial role in London.
