About LangChain

LangChain provides LangSmith, a commercial agent engineering platform for observability, evaluation, deployment and no-code agent building, alongside open source frameworks including LangChain, LangGraph and Deep Agents. The company states that it develops open source projects and then incorporates those learnings into LangSmith.

Its customers are companies building LLM agents, including enterprise teams; the site reports 7K+ active LangSmith customers and says 35% of the Fortune 500 work with it. LangSmith is sold on seat-based plans (a free Developer tier, a Plus tier at $39 per seat per month, and custom Enterprise pricing) plus pay-as-you-go usage for traces and deployments.

The company says it was started as a side project in late 2022 and incorporated as LangChain in early 2023. It is headquartered in San Francisco with offices in New York, Boston and Amsterdam. Open roles on the careers page cover engineering, deployed engineering, sales, go-to-market operations and marketing.

Product: LangSmith agent engineering platform (tracing, evaluation, deployment, Fleet no-code agent builder) and open source LangChain, LangGraph and Deep Agents frameworks.
