About Kovorob

Kovorob s.r.o. designs and manufactures injection moulds for thermoplastics and blow moulds for plastic bottles. It also runs a plastic injection moulding shop that produces plastic parts on injection presses and offers post-warranty repair of moulds, including moulds not made by the company, at 220 to 240 moulds per year.

Since 2005 Kovorob has been the exclusive representative of Proplastica, a US-Polish company that makes and supplies standard parts for moulds and cutting tools, and it publishes Proplastica catalogues. Its customers are manufacturers that need moulds and mould components; the company sells these products directly.

Kovorob was founded in 2004 and is based in Stropkov, Slovakia. Its history page traces the business to 1991, when it started as a small firm with two employees doing general toolmaking and later specialised in injection and blow moulds. The company has an in-house design office and CNC programming, reports 27 employees, and has held an ISO 9001:2000 quality system since an SGS audit in 2007. It is currently hiring for a head of its tool shop, a mould designer and a cylindrical grinder operator, all full-time.
