About Kometos

Kometos Oy designs and supplies turn-key food processing equipment: thawing, stiffening and freezing systems, dosing and tray packaging lines, and modular production facilities. It also offers FMA-Standard 14 and FMA-Double 14 unmanned carwash modules and a spare parts service.

Its customers are food processors and producers, with references including a fish processor in Finland and a project in Alaska. Turn-key deliveries include test runs, production process training and usage instructions, and spare parts and equipment are sold through its spare parts service.

Kometos was founded in 1991 by Raimo Niemi and is headquartered in Kauhajoki, Finland. It is a Finnish family-owned company. It exhibits at trade fairs in Chicago, Cologne and Gothenburg with local partners.
