About KNL Networks
KNL Networks Oy designs HF radio systems based on its Cognitive Networked HF (CNHF) technology. The CNHF radios are fully digital, software-defined transceivers that estimate spectrum use and adapt their operation to the signal environment, and they can be configured and updated remotely. The product line includes the CNHF1 radio, the CNHF Manpack, CNHF Vehicular and CNHF Evolve, which upgrades existing HF and VHF radios.
The company's customers are defence and security organisations and governments, with use cases listed for land, sea, critical communications and special forces. KNL sells its radios and communication solutions to these customers and offers software updates across the product lifecycle.
KNL was established in 2011 in Oulu, Finland, under the name Kyynel. It was acquired by Telenor Maritime in 2020 and in 2023 was made a standalone business unit within Telenor focused on defence and security connectivity. The company is headquartered in Oulu.
Product: CNHF HF radios (CNHF1, CNHF Manpack, CNHF Vehicular, CNHF Evolve) for long-range, secure beyond-line-of-sight communications.
