About knipp.de

Knipp Medien und Kommunikation GmbH is an IT systems house with three business areas: IT enterprise services, domains and print. It develops individual web-based software, builds websites and offers hosting from its own data centre in Dortmund.

In domains, the company works as a registrar and operates the TANGO Registry Services platform for running top-level domains, the ironDNS nameserver service and the mambo+ software for monitoring domain portfolios. The print business covers DTP, CTP, digital and offset printing, and finishing done in-house.

Customers include registries, registrars, domain holders and resellers, as well as businesses that order software, hosting and print. The company sells domain registrations and software, and offers a premium partner programme for large customers and resellers.

Founded in Dortmund more than 25 years ago by twin brothers Dietmar and Elmar Knipp, who remain the managing partners. Knipp is a member of DENIC, CORE and ICANN's Registrar Stakeholder Group, and an official Trademark Clearinghouse agent. It is currently hiring for support, IT, sales and student positions in Dortmund.

Product: TANGO Registry Services TLD platform, ironDNS nameserver service, mambo+ domain monitoring software, domain registration and print services.
