About Kapitalkontroll
KapitalKontroll develops KK2, a self-collection system that automates follow-up on unpaid invoices, including reminders, payment plans and escalation to the Norwegian enforcement authority (Namsmann) or district court. The system connects to accounting software through API or file-based exchange via an SFTP server.
Customers are Norwegian businesses, from small and medium-sized companies to larger firms, and Norwegian municipalities that recover municipal claims. Revenue comes from a 50/50 split of interest and fee income collected with customers, with no withdrawal fee on the principal.
The company was founded in 2018 and is headquartered in Oslo, where its technology team runs an Azure-based solution. The site reports 5,583 active users, 77,090 active cases and 5.5 billion NOK collected in 2025.
Product: KK2, a self-collection system for overdue invoices with automated reminders, payment plans and escalation to enforcement authorities.
