About kampnagel.de
Kampnagel is a production house in Hamburg that presents contemporary dance, theatre, performance, concerts, conferences and festivals across six stages. Its International Summer Festival takes place each August for three weeks on Kampnagel and at selected venues in Hamburg; it was founded in the mid-1980s and has been directed by András Siebold since 2013.
Audiences attend the programme through ticket sales, and the venue rents its spaces to artists and organisers. The website lists around 180,000 visitors per season.
The Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg has been the sole shareholder since 2020, making Kampnagel the city's fourth state theatre. The company is currently hiring a full-time building cleaner (Gebäudereiniger), starting 15 January 2027.
Product: Programme of contemporary dance, theatre, performance, concerts and festivals, plus ticket sales and venue rental.
