About Joensuun Romu

Joensuun Romu Oy operates the Kelpokerääjä scrap business, which buys and collects metal scrap, scrap cars, batteries and precious metals. The company also offers building demolition work.

Collection is carried out with the company's own collection vehicles, and material can also be delivered to a reception point on Telitie in Joensuu. A vehicle scale installed there in spring 2026 weighs loads of metal scrap.

The company was founded on 1 February 2023. Before that, the scrap business was run by PuuKimmo metal recycling, owned by Kimmo Piironen, which took over the operation in July 2020 and ceased operating in February 2023. Joensuun Romu Oy has since operated behind the Kelpokerääjä brand. Services are offered in North Karelia, South Karelia, Savo and the Helsinki area.

Product: Purchase and collection of metal scrap, scrap cars, batteries and precious metals, plus building demolition work.
