Inceptive

Inceptive builds foundation models that learn to design molecules from heterogeneous data spanning sequence, function and structure. The company focuses on sequence-based medicines such as mRNA, siRNA, ASOs and peptides. Where training data is lacking, it generates data in an in-house wet lab, which also validates designs in vitro and in vivo.

Inceptive works with drugmakers, customizing foundation models for their discovery programs and co-designing medicines that partners take to the clinic. The website describes these partnerships as strategic alliances. In June 2026 it announced a strategic AI collaboration with Alnylam to accelerate the discovery of RNAi therapeutics.

The company was founded in 2021 by AI and biochemistry pioneers and has offices in Palo Alto, Berlin and Zurich, with its wet lab in Palo Alto. Its open roles cover machine learning, data generation, computational design and experimental work, plus business development for commercial strategy and partnerships.
