About Horizon Software

Horizon Software develops decision-support software for aquaculture. Its modules cover production planning, production control, budgeting, cost per kilo and reporting, including Planner, Optimizer, Value, Budget, CTRL, Omnia, Analytics and Report Studio. Forecasts rely on a machine-learning growth model trained on data covering 37% of Norwegian salmon production.

Customers are fish farming operators, and the company sells its modules to them. Integrations with ERP, feeding systems and production control run through open APIs. Extended support is available on a service-level agreement.

The company was founded in 1989 and is based at Ranheimsveien 9 in Trondheim, Norway, where it has about 12 people. Its owners and investors include Bluefront Equity, a Nordic investor focused on sustainable seafood, and the European Investment Fund, which backs the company under the EU InvestEU programme.

Product: Horizon platform of planning, production control, finance and analytics modules for salmon farming operations.
