About Hometree Group

Hometree Group provides boiler, heating and home emergency cover, including unlimited repairs and annual boiler servicing carried out by local engineers. It is expanding into installing and financing low-carbon home energy hardware, including heat pumps and solar panels.

Its customers are UK homeowners and landlords who buy cover plans for boilers, heating, plumbing, drains, electrical systems, kitchen appliances and EV chargers. Flexible finance with no deposit, for the duration of the plan, is offered for heating and renewable installations.

Hometree was founded in 2015 by Simon Phelan. The group reports that it covers nearly 500,000 UK homes, employs over 550 people and works with a nationwide network of thousands of engineers and installers. It has secured a £250m asset-backed debt facility from Barclays and £50m from CPP Investments. Current openings include engineer, installer, customer support, sales, finance and operations roles.
