hameln pharma is an owner-managed pharmaceutical group that develops, licenses and markets generic injectable medicines. Its portfolio covers anaesthesiology, intensive care, palliative and emergency medicine, with a particular focus on opioids and critical care products. In-house active ingredient production is carried out at a sister company in Slovakia.

Customers are hospitals, pharmacies, outpatient surgery centres, medical practices and palliative care centres. Products are sold through the group's own companies and partners, and the company also licenses in molecules to supplement its range.

The company was established in 1890, when Dr. Wilhelm Kerstein bought the Raths-Apotheke in Hameln, and its head office is in Hameln, Germany. Group companies operate in the United Kingdom, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands, Italy, Taiwan and Australia. The website states that more than 140 million doses were delivered to customers in 2024.
