About Halter
Halter makes a collar and app for virtual fencing. Farmers use it to move and manage herds remotely, set break fences without physical reels and standards, and follow pasture growth and quality in real time. The product also includes heat detection, health and behaviour alerts, and 24/7 animal location tracking.
Its customers are dairy and beef farmers and ranchers. Halter sells its collars and app, with features offered in Pro and Unlimited packages. The company has published The No-Sale Standard, a commitment not to sell farmers' data.
Halter was founded in New Zealand. The website states that it currently supports New Zealand, Australia and the US, and reports more than 2,000 customers and more than 1,000,000 collars deployed. Open roles are mainly in sales and field operations, including territory manager positions in New South Wales and Montana.
Product: Solar- and satellite-enabled livestock collars with a farm app for virtual fencing, pasture management and herd monitoring.
