About GloCell

GloCell Oy develops SoftaCell™, fiber furnish optimization software that simulates and optimizes the use of fiber raw materials and energy in pulp, paper, board and tissue production. The stated aim is to balance cost, quality and sustainability. A stand-alone version was introduced in 2012, and an advanced SaaS version was in production in 2025.

Customers are pulp, paper, board and tissue producers. Revenue comes from SaaS program deliveries of SoftaCell™ and from consulting on raw material optimization, fiber segregation and value-based marketing support.

The company was founded in 2004 as a fiber and furnish consulting firm for pulp and paper makers; its registered founding date is 2005. It is headquartered in Lohja, Finland, and is part of the KCL-founded biohub in Otaniemi, Espoo. GloCell has signed an agreement with Ciconia Ventures Investments Limited to support a new software version that adds a raw material database. It has also posted a sales agent or partner job.
