Garden Court Chambers is a barristers' chambers providing advocacy and legal advice across practice areas including administrative and public law, criminal defence, family law, housing, immigration, employment and discrimination, environmental law and mental health law.
Its clients are solicitors, members of the public who use its direct access service, and organisations such as NGOs, charities, campaign groups and special interest groups. Fees depend on the case and the barrister instructed and may be charged as brief and refresher fees, hourly, capped or fixed fees, or conditional fee agreements. Cases that qualify for legal aid are billed under Legal Aid Agency rules.
Founded in 1974, the chambers has nearly 200 tenants, including over 190 barristers and 29 KCs, and is led by three Joint Heads of Chambers. It recruits for pupillage, tenancies and support staff roles.
