About GaltTec

GaltTec develops microtubular solid oxide fuel cell power systems for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The systems run on hydrogen or ethanol and are stated to give 5x longer flight endurance than lithium batteries. Refuelling takes 60 seconds, and operation is rated from -30 °C to +50 °C.

Target applications are defence and security surveillance, industrial inspection of energy grids, wind farms and telecom towers, and logistics and delivery missions. The company serves operators of drones in these segments.

GaltTec was founded in 2022 and is based in Tartu, Estonia; its work began at the University of Tartu. It became the first Estonian startup in the NATO DIANA Accelerator and has secured €1 million in pre-seed funding.
