About G.RAU
G.RAU GmbH & Co. KG produces metal products from more than 200 metals and alloys, including contact and thermobimetal strips, nitinol strips, tubes, wires and profiles. The range also covers contact and stamped-bent parts, assemblies, thermobimetal and shape-memory-alloy actuators, deep-drawn and cold-extruded parts, contact rivets, metal-plastic composite parts and surface technology.
Customers include automotive suppliers and companies in electronics and electrical engineering. Through subsidiaries EUROFLEX GmbH, which distributes precision semi-finished products and components, and ADMEDES GmbH, which supplies endovascular stents and vascular implants largely based on nitinol, the group also serves medical technology.
The company's history begins in 1877 as a supplier to the Pforzheim jewellery industry. Its headquarters and five production sites are in Pforzheim, and a subsidiary, G.RAU Rechberghausen, has been part of the group since October 2022. The group has branches in Costa Rica and the USA and employs around 2,100 people. Current openings in Pforzheim include apprenticeships and technical production roles, as well as internships in research and development and purchasing.
