About Frylite

Frylite supplies cooking oils and fats, including rapeseed, soybean, palm, olive, prep oils and beef dripping, to food businesses. It also collects used cooking oil, runs a food waste collection division that sends food waste for recycling into renewable energy, and provides fryer management services using oil filtering machinery operated by its own staff.

Customers include pubs, bakeries, hotels, restaurants, food factories, fast food outlets, delis and caterers. The company states that it serves more than 8500 customers and that all oils are batch tested in its in-house lab. Revenue comes from delivering oil and collecting waste oil across the island of Ireland.

The company was registered in 1996 and is based in Strabane, Northern Ireland, with depots in Dublin, Galway, Cork, Lisburn and Coleraine. Its own history dates the business to 1988, when Eamon McCay founded it. Quality control is HACCP-based and the company holds a BRC Global Standard grade A accreditation.
