About Freight Car Finland

Freight Car Finland builds intelligent railway bogie systems for freight cars, specialising in arctic-region rail equipment. Its core product is a gauge-adjustable bogie ("Rautatieteli 2.0") that changes track width instead of requiring the car or cargo to be transferred at the Finland–Sweden border. The company also offers an IoT "black box" for railway vehicles that controls power for bogie maintenance and cargo needs, monitors conditions and load, and tracks situations.

The company describes its customers as railway operators and logistics users. The website names Ville Karhila as Co-Founder and CEO, and Antti Karhila as chairman of the board.

Freight Car Finland Oy was founded on 12 August 2024 and is headquartered in Jämsä, Finland, with its address listed at Teollisuuskatu 3 in Jämsä.

Product: Gauge-adjustable smart railway bogie and IoT black box for freight rail cars.
