About Focal Point Positioning
Focal Point Positioning develops GNSS software that runs on chipsets to improve the sensitivity, accuracy and reliability of satellite positioning receivers. Its patented Supercorrelation technology underpins three products: S-GNSS Auto for vehicles, S-GNSS Cell for smartphones and location services, and S-GNSS Wear for fitness wearables. The software is delivered as a firmware or software upgrade and does not require hardware changes.
Customers include OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, chip manufacturers and navigation engine suppliers in the automotive, smartphone and wearables industries. The company licenses its software and IP to these partners. S-GNSS Auto is available on STMicroelectronics Teseo devices under a commercial agreement signed in 2026.
Focal Point was founded in 2015 and is headquartered in Cambridge, UK, with a subsidiary in the USA. It reports over 198 patents across more than 48 patent families and a team of 50 professionals. Its funding includes a Series C co-led by Molten Ventures and Gresham Ventures in 2022, and it supports in-country customers in Korea and Japan.
Product: S-GNSS Auto, S-GNSS Cell and S-GNSS Wear: GNSS software upgrades for receivers, built on the patented Supercorrelation technology.
