Flow Analytics

Flow Analytics provides vehicle data analytics based on Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) data captured at car parks across the UK. Its SmartDetect platform ingests data from any ANPR camera or device and offers historical search by vehicle registration mark, real-time alerting on flagged vehicles, and enrichment with fields such as fuel type, seats and doors.

Customers include landowners and car park operators, insurance companies and advertisers. Insurance clients use historical and future search services to identify vehicles that should not be on the road, and the company states that these clients save £20 for every £1 spent on its services. Advertisers can trigger digital out-of-home ads in real time as selected vehicles arrive on site.

The company was incorporated in London in 2018 and is registered in England and Wales as FLOW ANALYTICS LIMITED. It reports locations across the UK and received the Combating Fraud Technology Innovation Award in 2022. The SmartDetect platform was built over three years with consultation from the Information Commissioner's Office, and the company states that it undergoes an external audit every year.
