About Fenno-Aurum
Fenno-Aurum designs and manufactures gas-filled proportional counters for X-ray, gamma-ray and UV detection. Its sealed XRF detector, originally made for Outotec (now Metso), is sold directly to OEM partners and system integrators. It also builds bespoke detector systems with in-house preamplifiers, high-voltage power supplies and signal electronics.
Customers include XRF instrument makers, research laboratories, space programmes, and users in mining, food safety and industrial process control. The company sells OEM detector supply and custom design work, and is the authorised distributor of the CON-X online XRF belt analyser from Baltic Scientific Instruments in Finland and the Nordic region. It is also developing K-Line XRF analysers for food safety and gold ore grading.
Founded in 2012 and based in Espoo, Finland, in the Otaniemi science and technology hub. It developed a custom X-ray detector with the European Space Agency, presented at IEEE NSS 2019, and showed UV sensor research at NDIP 2022.
Product: Gas-filled proportional counters for XRF, gamma-ray and UV detection, custom detector systems, and distribution of the CON-X online XRF analyser.
