About Fatec
Fatec Oy develops and patents technology for processing industrial mineral side streams so they can be used in concrete, mortar and other hardening masses, mainly as a cement replacement binder. Its offering includes product development that identifies usable side streams and the processing they need to meet a customer's end-product requirements.
The company works with industrial side-stream producers and concrete and mortar manufacturers. It tests its recipes against concrete and mortar standards in its own laboratory.
Fatec was founded in 1990 and is headquartered in Siilinjärvi, Finland. It has an agreement with Tapojärvi to turn slag waste from a steel plant in Terni, Italy into a product for the concrete industry.
