About Fairport Containers
Fairport Containers Ltd refurbishes, remodels and resells steel waste containers, including skips, RoRos, compactor bins, RELs and FELs. Services include repairs on customer sites, mobile onsite maintenance with inflatable workshops, and modifications such as rubber door seals, sliding doors, retractable canvas roofs, ventilation and custom recycling apertures. Each container receives a unique serial number, and its repair history is recorded against that number.
Customers are waste management companies and public-sector organisations, including local authorities, charities and hospitals. The company earns revenue from refurbishment and repair work and from selling refurbished skips, RoRos and compactors, and it also buys in old skips and takes containers in part exchange.
Fairport Containers was formed in Chorley, Lancashire, in 1993 and is part of the Fairport Holdings Group. Its facilities are in Lancashire, Buckinghamshire and Somerset, and the company states it employs around 100 people across three locations. The website lists current vacancies for technicians.
Product: Refurbishment, modification, repair and resale of steel waste containers, skips, RoRos and compactors, plus container transport.
